Vingroup will launch "VinMart 4.0" virtual stores in 20 locations in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City as part of the VinMart brand. Buyers will be able to make QR code payments through the Vin ID smartphone app. Since credit cards are not widely used in Vietnam, we will promote the new development with an app that does not require credit cards.

VinMart 4.0, a virtual store promoted by Vingroup, is a store that combines the real and virtual worlds. The display stands are lined with more than 100 different products, just like in a supermarket, and buyers can see the products, pick them up and pay for them. The products are then delivered within two to four hours of ordering.
VinMart 4.0 is aimed at supermarkets in densely populated areas. Virtual stores will be located in densely populated areas, especially in residential buildings, office buildings, schools and bus stations. Purchasers simply open the Vin ID application and scan the QR code of the product they wish to purchase using the Scan & Go feature on VinID to make a payment. VinMart will then provide the product within 4 hours.

Besides VinMart Virtual Store, Vingroup will also proceed to apply QR code payment via Scan & Go in 73 VinMart stores across Vietnam.
As with VinMart 4.0, buyers can experience "VinMart shopping remotely" through the VinMart Shopping Handbook Shoppin' Brochure. Unlike regular supermarket brochures, the VinMart Shopping Handbook requires purchasers to simply scan a QR code with Scan & Go.
The Shopping Handbook contains over 800 different products divided into categories. To help buyers shop in the comfort of their own home, the Shopping Handbook provides all the basic consumer goods such as food, fashion, personal care and home appliances.
VinMart 4.0 Virtual Store and VinMart Shopping Handbook are both the first of their kind in Vietnam, allowing customers to buy products remotely without having to visit a supermarket. The applications were released in March 2019.
